Course Time / Format:
3-12 hours: Discussion, Brief Activity
Course Description:
The art and practice of awareness, known as Mindfulness, plays
an integral part in our relationships whether personal or buisness.
Often as we are confronted with our daily lives, with the constant
flows of information, and desires of instant gratification we
become less aware of what is important to us, what is important
to those around us, and what the actual status is in our relationships.
By learning Mindfulness (awareness) techniques we not only improve
our personal awareness within but also can both improve and grow
the connections we have with others.
This course will give a brief overview of Mindfulness then go
into discussion on the roles of Mindfulness in our relationships.
Using materials from multiple disciplines and personal/class experiences
the class will discuss how awareness has played and can play a
role in our relationships. Activities will be developed and practised
that can help us increase our Mindfulness, improve the quality
of our relationships, and grow the mind/body/community connection.
