"What are your qualities!"
Thoughts & Lesson:
"Limitless like the ocean are your excellent qualities."~Dalai
Lama
You are excellent, you are amazing, and as one of my favorite
phrases goes:
"You are a unique, original, one-of-a-kind masterpiece."
Often we find that from our dreams not becoming reality, the
struggles we face daily, the pains of loss and failure, and the
fears wrapped up in each we forget how beautiful and powerful
we are.
As a child it was an open sea of abilities to dream without limits
and believe that we had those qualities in us and the abilities
to do so much of what we dreamt. Yet be it the adults in our lives
or just "growing up" the beliefs we held when we ere
young usually don't hold as we grow to a more objective viewpoint
as an adult.
Yet when you are able to let go of the tensions of the moment,
and let your inner child dream you will find that just as the
ocean is large so to are the abilities for you to still soar the
heavens and see that each star, each reflected light upon the
waves is a trait, a quality, an experience that is excellent.
The qualities you state of or about yourself are your choice,
they are your own expressions not those of others. It is up to
you to determine, decide, and live those qualities that you choose
for yourself.
You are limitless in what qualities you adopt, what ones you
use, and what ones you apply to the world around and within you.
Let them be excellent qualities, let them be the qualities that
give flight to the dreams and abilities of a child, to the love
and lightness of springs first love, the strength of winds, and/or
whatever ever you lead yourself to embrace. Remembering that it
is yours to decide!
Meditation & Action:
Find a quiet place where you can sit comfortably. Bring your journal
or a notepad with you to write out some questions before and after
the meditation.
The questions to write are yours to alter, add to, or subtract
from, but may include:
What qualities do I ascribe to?
What are past qualities that I believed of myself, what future
ones do I desire?
Who or what events have limited the views I have of myself?
With these written down and glanced over take some deep breathes
and center on where you are and what the sensations are around
you and within your body.
Let yourself drift through yourself taking note of how amazing
and seemingly magical it is to be able to have the sensing abilties
you have, the beauty of how yoru body functions and the qualities
of this.
As you work your way from your feet up through your body come
to focus on your mind and that aspect of your heart that leads
to your dreams, desires, and core self.
Connect with this center and focus on the limitlessness of it,
the beauty, the love, and the gifts it has. Come around to not
just looking and focusing but feeling the qualities that make
up this core, that make up who you are.
Continue to journey through your core and bring in memories that
exhibit the qualities of limitlessness, of imagination, faith,
love, and trust. Let these memories grow or fade as you attract
the qualities you need, desire, or are led to embrace through
your core. Noting you can always alter, always pull towards or
push away, that you are without bounds.
As you finish this visualization come slowly back bringing the
sensations to your conscious mind. First refreshing your conection
throughout your body then with the world around you let your conscious
mind awaken further. Open your eyes slowly and let your mind drift
through what you felt, let your heart be a guide, and your body
be a reminder.
Write down either answers to the questions you posed or of the
journey you went on and how you felt during it and now.
You might decide if there are qualities about yourself, those
around you, the situations you are in that need to be reassessed
or altered. Remembering that the choice is yours to perceive how
you chose the events and circumstances of your experience and
through this you are limitless and have the choice to embrace
the most excellent qualities of yourself and the world around
you!
